because your release has the best audio quality especially for the alternative audio tracks in 5.1 instead of stereo. thora has the best video quality but fucked up in the audio department.
we decided that thora gives the best experience for most of the watchers (jap audio with eng sub + best video), and because most people won't hear any differences between 16bit and 24bit FLAC.
in the end we didn't want to restrict people to 16bit FLAC and stereo audio so we decided to take your release alongside it, after all this i an international movie and there are enough people who care about the alternative audio tracks in the best quality available.

Hopefully that will put some of the heated discussions/arguments to rest, as well as satisfy various preferences among viewers. It is one of my favorite Ghibli movies, and has the best music IMO.
