I've only just started watching this one... and the first arc has a feel of the romance between Araragi and Senjogahara in Bakemonogatari... I'm a little surprised to find that this isn't a SHAFT production... but I'm liking it. Thanks be to the uploader!

Great "feel good" romance anime and I loved most of the heroines to no end

To me this is how I ranked which was the best story line and compatibility.
1. Kaoru Tanamachi - Buddy & pal
2. Haruka Morishima - Beauty queen
3. Tsukasa Ayatsuji - Class representative
4. Ai Nanasaki - Swim team
5. Rihoko Sakurai - Childhood friend
6. Sae Nakata - Shy freshman

See, for me, it's a little different... I'd have to go a slightly different route, and really, I only watch three of the arcs... I just ignore the rest.

2. Tsukasa Ayatsuji - Class representative
3. Kaoru Tanamachi - Buddy & pal
Those three are the best compatibilities in my opinion, and in that order. I find my self watching the first and last arcs over and over, and watching the Kaoru arc every now and then... I don't even bother with the others.

Ayatsuji's arc was probably the best from a objective viewpoint. It had the most character development by far and most satisfying conclusion out of all.
Nanasaki's arc is my favourite though. She's just too amazing.

On the second arc so far, and really pleased with it. I particularly like the openings and endings, sincerely sweet without sounding like somebody vomited sparkles and rainbows on a sheet of composition paper.

Just barely but flip 2 and 3 and you have my order. After the first arc I watched the others in order of ranking I gave them after seeing them in the OP

what endears this series to me is that unlike other "H/Date game" to anime conversions, in which, the male protagonist of the series focuses on the main or popular girl, it dedidcates time to each of the girls.
While this is nothing new (Yosuga no Sora is similar, only it is seems to be a translation of the game into the anime), Amagami SS seems unique in the way the series comes across, to me, it is not a "complete" series, but, a collection of three part OVAs (with two special eps
watch Amagami SS+! ).
As a whole, the series is enjoyable, the personalities of each girl is well done and you develop preferences for each, in which, the series is more moe in it's approach than perverted.
as for favourite girls (pre-amagamiSS+):
1. Tsukasa Ayatsuji (once the mask goes, she is absolutely facinating character)
2. Sae Nakata (once you get past the irratating voice and the shyness, there is an un-spoken awesomeness to the character)
3. a tie between Ai Nanasaki and Risa Kamizaki (Ai has that "young girl next door" appeal and Risa AKA. stalker-chan, is creepy and awesome in her own way)
I have seen AmagamiSS+, and the extra two eps DOES change the appeal of all the girls (at least it did for me), as they do flesh out all the girls (with the exception to stalker-chan... well, you DO see her peering around the corner in one ep from memory maybe in the bonus material they will cover her... hopefully...)

It's great because it's so unbelievable
