I would say I want this ... but I have this already on DVD.

Like KyraMaverick if this was a game I'd play it, though I rather watch this movie than the bastardized stuff Hollywood put out of this series.

Goddamn! The Hollywood movies sucked (only the first one is 'watchable' ). This one is way better.

i also agree with you. the first one was good but the others progressively got worse. i mean wtf; mike epps?????

I enjoyed all the movies....but when I watched the 1st one I had never played RE, so my friends (RE fans) looked at me like I was a freak. I admit they got worse as they went, but they were all very enjoyable. there was death, kickass action scenes, hot chicks, cool dudes.....EXPLOSIONS!!!!

I'd have to disagree with you guys. This movie was awful. Sure it was better than the live action Resident Evil films, save the first one which was decent, but that doesn't say much. What bothered me the most about it were the character's facial expressions and their daydreaming stares. I found it too distracting and thus it ruined most of the movie for me. On the other hand, the story was tolerable. Barely.

I do agree that we are entitled to different opinions, however .. *this movie was awful because of the daydreaming stares of the characters* .. HMMM! Well, on my side, i watched this with a friend who is not so passionate about anime/3d n such, and we were both very content. Maybe not a masterpiece, but deffo worth a watch. Unless you tend to stare too much at character faces and miss the story :o
Hey don't kill me, had to say it!

Heh, its fine. I just tend to look closely at everything when I watch movies and anything else really. If one thing bugs me, then it can sometimes throw me off. That goes for story, characters, cinematography and sound as well. Especially when it's not just during a certain scene. I don't watch things to look for issues either, but when I do spot them it's sometimes hard to ignore them.

The way you quoted me also made it seem like that's the only reason I didn't like it. What I mentioned was only one of the glaring problems I had. While it may seem insignificant to other people, it obviously had a larger impact on me. The fact that this movie has a lot of close face shots during dialogue scenes doesn't really help your point about me staring at faces too much. Kind of hard to ignore them without actually looking at the screen. I'm not going to get into any other details concerning the presentation or the 'story' since that would just turn into a bloody essay. Anyways, I hope you can appretiate where I'm coming from here.

Yeah, the Uncanny Valley in this movie is quite disturbing, but I think the acting makes up for it in certain areas.
