Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo | My Wife is a Magical Girl [Polished]  

This version is not meant to replace the current version of Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo that is here on BakaBT even though they are both Xvids. This version is .mkv and the current one is .avi.  

There are numerous  precedents for having 2 Xvids.  He is MY Master and  Space Family Carlvinson are just two of many examples.  

This version is also substantially larger and has higher bitrates than the current version. Having smaller file sizes and lower bitrates would be beneficial to those with older computers.  

That being said, here are some comparisons with the version that is currently on BakaBT. (Undine is the only group that did an English Translation) You should note in the third set of pictures that Polished Subs has edited some of the more glaring errors.



Also the two video errors that are in episode 2 are no more annoying than the audio errors that are in episode 1 of the Undine release.  

You can add "Polished" as a keyword.

Noticed there was no mention of frame rate. It would be 29.970fps for these.
DVD encodes by ymer&HKG if needed, aswell.

This is where I'm confused, unless I'm totally missing your suggestion. While this does indeed have the same translation as the "Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo" that is currently on BakaBT (Although ToyBox, did make a few QC edits on some of the more glaring mistakes).

This torrent, by virtue of its source being DVD, should be the parent. However, looking at current groupings that have only two torrents, both of which are XviDs, some have the DVD version in Group B and some have it in Group C. So would this torrent be considered Group B or Group C?

Also while the uploader does have the capability to set parent/ child groupings and the ability to denote alternate versions. I was informed that the Mods prefer to do it themselves. See this discussion in the forums. As I'm unsure whether to classify this as Group B or C, I'm just going to leave it up to the Mods who should do it if this offer is accepted.  

While the frame rate is basically listed at 29.97fps, ToyBox listed it as Variable on AniDB. Also after doing a check of the actual frame rate while playing, it is indeed variable. While it seems to be usually around 23.97fps (from a quick sampling) it does venture as high as 29.97 and down to ~22fps at times. So unless ToyBox has some additional insight I will leave it as VFR.

This show was never meant to really have any nudity. It was meant to have some suggestive images and ideas, but they weren’t overly blatant about it. There really is no "censorship", they just never intended it to be too revealing. This is shown in the following screen shots;

One of the main premises of this show and where its ecchiness comes from is the fact that she is a woman and can’t really be considered a "Magical Girl" and therefore her uniform doesn’t really fit very well. This is seen in the following screen shots;

Of course there are also a lot of shots of cute girls in short skirts on broomsticks. I do hope you can still enjoy this series because it is a fun little show, none the less.  

Actually, they are A LOT less annoying when compared to the audio ep. 01. I lost a pint of blood from ear bleeding watching that episode. Personally, I rather have 3 minor quirks in ep. 02 than deal with the audio for the whole ep. 01. So for that, I thank you.

One of my favorites.  If you have ever wondered if anybody else ever noticed the sketchy kinda-pedo stuff about the mahou shoujo genre, this is the anime for you.

Good series tho its good to watch a happy series where no one dies gruesomely or in a hail of gunfire. sometimes you just need to sit down watch women in the 20's flying around in skimpy skirts casting magic. Ahh yes its the simply things in life that are worth it xD

argh, i just downloaded the old version as well, this looks much better.

Disappointing. I was expecting more out of this show but found it to be really boring.

Alas, 13 episodes went by and nothing interesting actually happened. I think I would've been better off counting birds in a tree or watching paint dry.

A charming older anime with the usual activities but a lot of fun and the characters are endearing and well crafted. I think it is a classic of its own type and just fine as it is. Of course it helps if one likes this genre but as an example it is a fine one. and A great encoding and upload thanks.
