holy crap.. these are aliased up the ass! My eyes arent the best and a lot of time when people bitch about little video problems i just dont see it. But with these i see it right away. It looks like your playing an old jaggie ps1 game! i cant belive the DVD's look this bad, this is insane. So now i gotta decide if im going with these or the BSS ones, which look way better IMO even though they arent as sharp.

The only problem is  i hear they redid a lot of scenes for the DVDs. Anyone know how much of a difference there is? Did you guys go for the DVD or BSS subs? Im really not sure which to go with. I may have to compare a few episodes when i go to watch it

From one of the first comments from the first page:

» ToyBox
There are a lot of redone animations. Most are on still frames where the camera changes, but there are some animations which have been completely redone.

Also, episode 20 received a massive overhaul.

The downside: major aliasing. BSS was filtering it out when they were doing the DVD rips (they only got around to 1-4 and the Special).

Also, to this point, I don't recall BSS ever finishing the DVDs for this (or even anything beyond vol.01).

Amazing story. Don't worry i wont give away any spoilers... Music in the anime is really good im downloading the soundtrack. The characters are really well written and character development is very noticeable. Im happy for that. some animes have no character dev though out the whole thing. I got teary eyed at times but in a good way. At times its a little slow ie episodes 15-18 ish. but it was needed for the plot. Overall very well drawn, the faces and teeth are better its not just circle mouths that get bigger or smaller. The voices match the characters. i wasn't squinting at the screen thinking to myself "She should not sound like that...." the story changes direction a few times focusing on all the characters making them all main ones pretty much... im glad that they did that so that most of  the characters didn't just rot away with just a few meaningless lines that didn't really do much other than filler. Its weird in other high school animes to either talk about a little (lucky star, hayate no gotoku) or COMPLETELY overlook any shred of romance in high school (azumanga daioh) or the characters that u c are being pushed toward each other in the story and nothing relationship wise happens other than a few awkward glances, the girl hitting the guy cause he accidentally did something perverted (love hina), or the guy or in some cases the girl never sharing their feelings.. And finally this anime rolls around and pops a squat on the others and goes for it. I glad that they did. I hope for a second season cause Wikipedia says that the manga is on going. whew that was long
Everything you said was spot on.  One of the most natural story line I have ever watched, no forceful happy ending kind of stuff. The 2nd ending song was very sweet too. Best part of this anime was I felt like I was back in high school again while watching it, and I am 33, married, and with a son. Strange, huh?  :-P

For the love of god, of all the scenes they could redraw, WHY did they have to redo the closeup of Futami in episode 20? That was my favorite scene out of the whole series. But now they've smoothed her over completely, taking out ALL the detail and lessening her shocked appearance dramatically. Well played JC Staff.

I have never commented on anything thus far, but this one, I couldn't resist...

They completely remade the whole anime into something else, completely disregarding whatever plot the manga had.

I actually saw the animation before reading the manga and I enjoyed the manga the most, by far. The actions they took to separate characters and set different stories while trying to keep on track ruined the moment for me at least.

I would've loved it if the animation would've been more like "Amagami SS". But there's still value to the anime I guess, but really though, I suggest all users to read the manga before watching the anime or vice versa and then deciding on what you thought was the best plot.

That's all I had to say, whew, feel much better after getting that out. Hope there's someone out there who has the same opinions as I do, anyhow.

Peace out,
Otakus.

Kind of slow at first, but this turned into an amazing anime. This is probably the most realistic romance anime I have ever seen. Many relationships are going on between various people instead of just one. It was very interesting to see how each person affected one another. All in all this had a great story and had noticeable character development; the ending was very satisfying, although I was extremely conflicted on Kazuki's triangle. I found it hard to choose between Sakino and Futami. After doing some looking into KimiKiss as a whole, I couldn't believe that Kazuki and Kai are anime only characters; the producers did any amazing job in turning an average dating sim game into an amazing romance that is really down to earth and believable. My thanks to the uploader, but I did notice some minor blurs on characters faces at various points in the story. I'm using MPC with K-Lite so I haven't experienced problems with anything else, maybe some other people have noticed this, but it doesn't hinder the  show at all. Thanks again!

I won't comment on how good the story on manga/anime is. But I suggest first playing the game (if you don't hate kanji). Then you'll see the logic how the adaptations went on other media.

I've never been dedicated enough to conquer the game 100% though, and I think the story of Kimikiss is on par with their later game Amagami, which somehow became more popular on its manga/anime adaptation. Maybe because it's 2010, when people had more knowledge/capacity to watch or download almost everything they wanted.
