I've downloaded the first two Galaxy Network packs (1-6 and 7-12) and all eps suffer from the same encoding problems. I don't know what codec they have used there, but it was the first time I saw HD content blow up like that. It remembered the days when people encoded stuff with that Angel Potion crap. Perhaps the problem happens only on my computer, I don't know. What I do know is that I will not download one of those codecs packs in order to find out if something might be able to playback GN encodings without problems. I'm giving this release a try.
What encoding problems? I haven't watched them yet, but noticed no problems when skimming through to check the quality.

Galaxy Network have taken forever to release the last 2 episodes so another group on /m/ subbed the last 2, not sure if it'll be allowed on here though.

Should I just skip over to Macross Frontier?That's not how it's done okay "The Masters and New Generation" have nothing to do with Maross it's just in the same Universe and were added to make Robotech longer. The next show Macross you would want to watch would be Macross Plus, then Macross 7, then Macross Frontier.

Hey Weltal, i would recommend watching Robotech (Macross, Masters, New Generation, in that order), also you should watch Macross Zero and Macross Do You Remember Love and Macross II, you are dealing with a few different timelines here, this download here is for the original Macross universe (or something very close to it being that there are different versions of shows out there), Macross Zero is a prequel to Macross, the Robotech universe is a combination of three different universes that were originally without relation in Japan (Macross, Southern Cross/Masters, Mospeada/New Generation), there are also several different Robotech universes because of the comic books and novels, Macross Do You Remember Love is a movie-retelling of the original Macross series and is considered to be a historical movie in the original Macross universe, Macross II is the sequel to Macross Do You Remember Love; i highly recommend Robotech, Macross Zero, Macross II, and Macross Do You Remeber Love; to be honest i think Macross Frontier is a show of much lower quality and i think Macross fans are selling themselves short by supporting it so much, Macross 7 i still have to watch more of to determine what i think about it, Macross Plus is alright but it could have been better; if you do start to get into Robotech there are also three Robotech movies out there (Robotech: The Movie used a lot of animation from Megazone 23 and also had some animation from Southern Cross in it, Robotech II: The Sentinels was originally supposed to be a second series to Robotech but things happened and it was made into a movie instead and it did feature all new animation made just for Robotech II for the most part, Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles came out more recently and it also featured all new animation, i enjoyed all of the movies with Robotech II being my favorite, Robotech The Movie was rejected by Carl Macek but i think he was being overly critical because he had little creative control over it), also i would highly recommend the Eternity/Academy Robotech comics and the Wildstorm Robotech comics.

Where in the original Macross, even though the Zentraedi and Humans share DNA, they are still not related. In the Love, Do you Remember.....Humanity are the descendants of the same clones that made up the Zentraedi.

White Base - crappy denoising, sharpening and bluring filters. Noise in japanese Audio
Galaxy_Network - Clear Image, no forced filters, Clear Audio.
White Base has crappy remastering for dvd... seem slike Galaxy_Networks uses remastered version for blu ray.
Not really fault of white base ofcourse, since their releases are much older.
Still Galaxy Network's releases are hard to get, only 1 seed on their torrents.. download is slow... i hoped baka bt would have them
As for translation, both have original story instead of butchered robotech version.
So if you don't want to wait forever on galaxy network torrents this is the version to get. However if you care about quality you should go for galaxy network. Though they've released only 27eps atm.
