Thanks for the upload. The space fights were pretty interesting. Overall it was pretty good.

I've enjoyed this series very much. Character development is a bit scant, but the battle scenes are intense!
The command centre of the Amaterasu is complex and beautifully detailed. The battle strategies were quite interesting as well.
This series does have the 'noises in space' thing going on, but I guess there's so much of that in sci-fi productions that it's forgivable.
Thanks most kindly for the upload, and many thanks to the seeders.

I also enjoyed this anime a great deal. There should be a tag just for "Space Battles", or "Space Fleet Battles" to allow people to find more of this genre. Perhaps also a "Strategy" tag or something, for a series like this that is directed towards people interested in that sort of thing (like in Lelouch of the Rebellion strategy plays a significant role )

Well the noise in space is forgivable.
Because it's 'added' in by the producers of the show they are on.

Very nice series and video quality. Only downside I can see is the dubbed audio is on by default and subtitles were off by default :/ . Good thing the original audio and subtitles are there, you just need to select them manually from the player options for each episode.

bonus points to whomever finds the homage for a REAL incumbent private spaceship company
Hint: look for a scene with a place where you'd be able to buy a ticket to go to another planet. Apparently, your shares on that company will be worth quite a lot in the future

This was a rather impactful anime. There are many tragic moments in it, especially for being a 13 episode series. Rarely will you find authors who are willing to instill tragedy into their work.
I'm going to rebuff some of the statements about lack of character development. For the scope of this anime with it's short duration it made use of it's time excellently. There's very little filler at any point in this series. This anime chronicles the tragic voyage of the Amaterasu, and conveys the totality of war and the loss it brings. Even when war is entirely for just purposes.
The political undertones in this series are also poignant (albeit it could be argued that the Earth Alliance is the USA, and the Kibi is Japan...) where the level of political manipulation by all parties is extensive. Everyone has their angle and is attempting to work the other sides to their benefit.
One of the few questions this anime did leave with me was wth was the point of the captain of the Amaterasu. His character seemed to serve no purpose as his decisions always seemed to be dictated by his CO, Kouzuki. If I have anything negative at all to say about this series at all it would probably be his character was entirely unneeded and generally his screen time was just irritating for how unlikeable he was.
I strongly recommend watching this series. Some notes about the release itself, there seemed to be something strange with the Japanese audio track it would not play properly from KM Player my preferred video player. The jp audio did however play in Media Player Classic HCx64. The english audio track played on both players fine, as far as a dub does the english work seemed quite impressive and could most likely be watched in english without impairing the series.

I definitely agree with the bluray remarks, however I can't really agree with 2. As meaningful as it was to watch this anime there is no way they could do justice to the original anime if they came out with a direct sequel.
I would certainly be interested in them expanding upon the universe created by this anime. The only ways they could do that realistically without diminishing the original would most likely be a prequel that was about the crew's time at their military academy. Or if it they did a sequel it would most likely need to happen substantially in the future with either the crew twice their age or atleast a generation removed.
