Any English Dub for this?

I saw the entire digimon series on the pirate bay in engdub. I was looking for the original and ended up here.

I remember watching  this when i was 12... Fond memories.

Loved this show, always wanted to see the subbed version. Will have to add to my queue.

I actually have the English Dub for this, but it's Dub only AVIs, not dual audio. I believe they are TV rips as well, not 100% sure though.
Is Eng Dub only kosher?

More importantly, is there a reason the English dub for this isn't already up here?

If the English only isn't kosher, but a dual audio would be okay I'd be willing to either try to combine the two for dual audio or use some other means to give the English dubbed episodes to someone more knowledged in de/remuxing.

Watched the 5 seasons of digimon!Nice ones. Will add to my list.Want to watch these series again!The 6th series digimon Xtros Wars is in production though.Hope the series is completed soon.

I love how people just come in and say how crappy this series is without even giving reasons

This is my 2nd favorite, character development was pretty good, there were some tense moment and over all i felt the story was very good. I didnt like the last few episodes since they did feel repetitive but thats not enough to hate this show.

The subtitles on this leave a lot to be desired.  There are several things that aren't translated that should be.  One of those things is (somewhat understandably) Izumi's random bursts of Italian.  But Episode 4 even had a string of Japanese with subtitles STILL in Japanese - if you do that, you REALLY need to have some sort of translator's note up at the top or something.

Plus it's TV-rip, which has the annoying timestamp up at the top.


Overall, this is my least favorite of the seasons, and not because of the sub-par subbing.  Yeah, it's because there are no partner Digimon, but that's not "weak reasoning".  Without partner Digimon, there's a depth of companionship and learning to place your trust and lend your strength to others that this season lacks.  Take when Greymon evolves to SkullGreymon in Season 1, for example.  Taichi needed to learn that if he tries to force others to do his will, they might get hurt.  But in this season, the children can just say "oh, there's a problem?  No matter, I can handle it.  And if I can't, I'm the only one who gets hurt."  They don't NEED to rely on others.  Plus, the children are just interlopers in the Digital World who come in and solve all the Digimon's problems.  The Digimon don't do a thing for themselves, unlike in the previous seasons.  In the previous seasons, the Chosen Children enabled the Digimon to evolve, giving a level of partnership that this season doesn't have.

The quality is so bad D: someone offer a better quality one >.<

The problem is, there isn't anything better at the moment, not complete at least. A fellow fansubber and I are working to fix that, but it'll still take a while.

Yeah, I wanted to say that I'm watching this right now and from Episode one I've been wanting to call this thing out. The quality of the subbing is very poor. I don't mind the quality of the RAWs or the timestamp. Those have never bothered me. It's when I see something like *random Italian splurge* instead of actual freaking dialogue or intro/outro lyrics that are translated.. into romanji. :/

Frequently they children will say something and no text appears at all. I realize this group probably does a barebones job, but if you're going to do something like translate a series, especially something popular.. do it right. I know I'm talking from no experience in subtitle work, but I've worked on other stuff and if you don't put more effort into it.. people aren't going to want to see more of it. I'm only at episode 3 so far, but I don't really expect the subtitles to improve.

Also.. I can understand why some people might have reservations about this show. Suzaku brings up most of my points that I was going to, actually. It's such a radical departure from what the series was like in previous seasons, and the fact it went BACK to those aspects of the show tells me that people in Japan felt the same way. I'm not gonna say the show is bad, because so far it's not..  but it is certainly different, and I think most fans of Digimon will probably tell you it's most likely the black sheep of the series.

Ok so the video sucks, but how are the subs?

Well, I finally finished watching the show. The storyline (and show in general) picks up and actually starts being watchable between 1/3 to 1/2 way into the show. The subbing also improves as the show goes on, which is kinda weird cause it made it seem like they were still learning to do this as they worked on the show. It also encorporates *shudder* varied font and even coloured font towards the later episodes. It was rather difficult to read some of them and I'd occasionally find myself rewinding or pausing just so I could read everything.

The video itself also becomes better as the show goes on, and I think it lost the clock in the corner at some point because I suddenly stopped seeing it at one point, but can't remember which episode it was. I still feel the show could've been a lot better and there was far too much cheesecake for my liking. Digimon had never really been about exploiting the female characters and yet it feels like Izumi was there solely for that purpose having a sexy transformation sequence and her outfit basically being nothing but undergarments (literally a bra, panties, and garters). I also found her character trying to be too many personality types and switching between them from episode to episode. Thankfully that, too, seemed to eventually get brushed aside by having a more engrosing plot as the show reached the middle point. A little disappointed with the big bullseye (look here) markings on Ophanimon's chestplate, too.

Actually, you wanna know what's really bugging me about the show? I only finished watching it earlier this month and I've already forgotten a lot of the names and some of the plot's finer details. I guess what gets me besides the gratuitous eye-candy is the fact that it's just not as memorable as the earlier shows. We learn a few things about the Humans, sure, but there just doesn't seem to be as much characterization or development to their personalities as the earlier shows had. We spent so much time exploring who Takato was, why Ruki acts the way she does, and so forth, that by the time the show is over we feel like we really know them and feel close to them. Same with Taichi's generation, although I do feel that they could've explored more about Daisuke's group besides Ken.

I'm wondering if Digimon is a series that suffers slightly in the even numbered seasons now.. Think about it, how much did we really learn about Daisuke's family or his sister? Apart from the fact she really liked Yamato, that is. Did the show really spend any time showing us more of Miyako's family, other than that she has a lot of siblings? Sorry, getting off topic.

I can see Frontier being kinda like Star Trek Deep Space Nine. It was a good show for what it was, but it kinda deviated away from the original concept a bit too much for my liking. Also, Frontier has some fairly heavy religious influences going on what with Lucemon, gods, and angels. Kinda confused why they changed Plotmon's Ultimate from Magnadramon to Ophanimon, too. Of course, they never even BOTHERED to explain where those two got Ultimate forms to begin with in the third movie.. so yeah. :p

Anybody know where i can get a subbed of good quality?  This si the only subbed ive found.
